Spoilt for choice, Alfreton is in the middle of the area's 4 best nights out for the seasoned party goer, we would recommend Derby for its alround spirit, quality of pubs, clubs, places to eat, cost to get to and distance between places to go. Nottingham has some great pubs, clubs and restaurants but they are a good walk apart and some have been known to be a little difficult to find. Mansfield is an extremely lively place, with a very short distance between the various places to go, it is however very restricted on its places to dine. Chesterfield is similar to Mansfield in its type of bars but it is on a smaller scale and they are further apart. All 4 are about 25 minutes away and cost around £25.00 to get to or from by taxi.
